History Of Our Firm

Our Philadelphia Law Firm was established in 1994 and is comprised of 9 attorneys and 11 support staff who are dedicated to pursuing the best interests of our clients. We represent clients throughout Pennsylvania, New Jersey and New York from our offices in Philadelphia. Our affiliated New Jersey law firm, Weinstein & Associates, has offices in Haddonfield, New Jersey.

We are proud to announce that our firm has been awarded the highest rating (AV) by the Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory. Martindale Hubble is the largest Lawyer's Listing Service in the rating. An AV rating indicates that the attorneys within our firm have been recognized for the highest level of legal skill and ethical integrity. This award is given to the the top 5% of lawyers as determined by a vote of lawyers.

In addition, we are proud to announce that several of our lawyers have been recognized by the Pennsylvania Super Lawyers Magazine. Christopher Moyer has been selected a 2011 Pennsylvania Super Lawyer and Steven Schatz and Jason Manus were named Rising Stars in 2010 and 2011.

The Super Lawyer selection process involves a rigorous, multiphase rating process. Peer nominations and evaluations are combined with third party research. Each candidate is evaluated on 12 indicators of peer recognition and professional achievement. Selections are made on an annual, state-by-state basis. The objective is to create a credible, comprehensive and diverse listing of outstanding attorneys that can be used as a resource for attorneys and consumers searching for legal counsel. Only 5% of all Pennsylvania lawyers are selected as Super Lawyers.

Finally, we are pleased to announce that both Mr. Schatz and Mr. Moyer are members of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum. Established in 1993, the Million Dollar Advocates Forum is one of the most prestigious groups of trial lawyers in the United States. Membership is limited to attorneys who have won million and multi-million dollar verdicts and settlements. There are over 4000 members throughout the country. Fewer than 1% of U.S. lawyers are members.

The quality of membership in this forum is very impressive and includes many of the top trial lawyers in the country. Many of the Forum members have achieved numerous million and multi-million dollar results (several members have won billion dollar cases). Practice areas include most areas of litigation, including: major personal injury, products liability, malpractice, construction, environmental, employment, insurance and business litigation. The common fact is that each of the members have each demonstrated, in an objective and tangible way, their ability to accomplish superior results in complex cases. Certification by the Million Dollar Advocates Forum provides recognition of such accomplishment and a national network of experienced colleagues for information exchange, assistance and professional referral.

We work on a contingency fee basis which means that if there is no recovery to you we will receive NO fee.  Importantly, you will never pay us out of your own pocket.  Rather, we will receive our fee from the insurance companies for the responsible party.

You may not be aware of the considerable commitment that experienced trial lawyers make when they take on your case. When we take you on as a client we invest our firm's resources to prepare the strongest case possible for you and your family. We want to win your case for you and we want to make sure you get everything you deserve for the losses you have suffered.

In the appropriate cases we retain qualified experts to evaluate and to testify at your trial.  In the appropriate cases we will hire a medical illustrator who will assist us in designing medical exhibits in order to present your injuries to the jury.

Below are examples of trial exhibit that we have used a trial.  You will seen that we have been able to incorporate our client's actual x-rays into the exhibit.

We also utilize the resources of our 10 full time personal injury staff to research and prepare your case. Our lawyers work together as a team to provide you with the full support you will need to win a substantial settlement or victory in court.

We are very proud of our track record and some of our most notable victories are listed below. Our lawyers have served over 5000 clients in civil litigation. This experience over the years has helped us create a network of seasoned professionals that we hire to build strong cases for our clients. We want you to become our client so that we can bring all of our resources together for your case.

When you call us or fill out our contact form on the side of this page we will set up a time so we can discuss your case with you in depth. Our lawyers are aware that your injuries or losses can be painful to talk about. We meet with our clients in private comfortable rooms in our offices or in your home so you can feel at ease discussing your case. Once we fully understand all the facts of your case and you retain us as your lawyer, we will begin to strategically prepare your case for court.  Although it is true that a large percentage of all cases settle, we believe that the best road to settlement is to prepare as if your case is going to trial.

We use the most advanced technology to prepare and present evidence and expert testimony. Often times our victories come from settlement offers we receive just before a case is scheduled to go to trial. It is our goal in each and every case to have it prepared in a rock solid fashion so that the "other side" understands that we are ready if they do not make a reasonable settlement offer.

You want to make sure that your lawyers have the skill, experience and commitment to make your case rock solid. You want to know that you stand the greatest chance of winning a fair settlement or a court victory. You also want to know that your lawyer has
the experience required to negotiate a settlement offer properly. Our continual research of the law, our knowledge pending legislation which will affect personal injury issues and our deep knowledge of the trial process allows us to be extremely successful in the negotiation process.

If you receive a settlement offer, you want to have tremendous trust and confidence in your lawyer. You want to feel that your lawyer has been doing everything possible every step of the way to win your case.

Months of hard work, hours and hours of depositions and hundreds of pages of briefs and court filings often boil down to a single critical moment when you receive a settlement offer. At that moment you must trust your lawyer to give you advice that is based on dozens of factors surrounding the case. This is the moment when your lawyers advise you about a critical choice; should you accept a fair settlement offer, or should you take your case to court? We help you make that choice by giving you an assessment of all the factors that can affect your case in court.

These factors include: where the trial is being held, what laws and caps on settlements may affect the final jury award, how jurors will likely respond to your case, and how competent and well prepared the opposing attorneys are. If you do decide to take your case to court with our legal team you will take comfort knowing that you have excellent lawyers in your corner. We have taken many complex and difficult cases to court in counties all over Pennsylvania, New Jersey and New York.

Call us now so that we can collect all the information we need to start building a good case for you. Some people wait for months or years before filing a suit and this can weaken an otherwise strong case. If you are reading this after office hours or on a weekend please fill out the form on the side of the page. You don't have to write a long description of your case, just a brief sentence or two will do fine. We will get back to you as soon as we come back into the office.
